I've been researching new product & packaging concepts for over a decade. Projects range from identifying easy wins to more 'revolutionary' category activity; via a combination of desk research, international retailing, an ideation workshop and expert depths. The resulting concepts are then tested in group discussions with opinion forming & mainstream consumers. Over the years, NPD projects have ranged from cars to media, crisps to sports drinks, tea to shower gels and from sleep products to retail design. (I'm also a visiting lecturer at Central St Martins & London College of Fashion, so often involve students in concept generation tasks). |
